The Lamborghini Miura is the first supercar with a two-seat layout. The mid-engine design was the order of the day for the Italian brand of cars and Ferruccio Lamborghini (the owner of the company) preferred car models that favored grand tours as opposed to their immediate neighbors and automobile rivals, Ferrari, who preferred race cars.
