As of April 2026, the ranks of Hollywood’s Golden Age are thinning, but a remarkable group of stars keeps the era’s magic alive. From a 101-year-old Oscar winner who starred opposite Cary Grant to a 90-year-old Dame who taught the world to sing, these living legends span the Eisenhower-era soundstages, the twilight of the studio system, and the New Hollywood that followed. Here are 21 icons still with us, sorted oldest to youngest, each verified alive this month.

Eva Marie Saint, age 101 (born 1924-07-04)

Eva Marie Saint, age 101 (born 1924-07-04)

Eva Marie Saint is the oldest living Academy Award winner, having taken home Best Supporting Actress for her debut feature, On the Waterfront, in 1954. Five years later she played Eve Kendall in Alfred Hitchcock’s North by Northwest, a role that cemented her as one of the great cool blondes of the era. She followed with Exodus (1960), The Sandpiper (1965) and Grand Prix (1966). Saint has slowed down but kept working well into her 90s, voicing animated projects and accepting tributes from the Academy. Married to director Jeffrey Hayden for 65 years until his death in 2016, she remains one of the last living stars of the studio-era prestige picture.
